Late rally lifts Royals over Twins

Omar Perez doesn’t have the greatest speed in the world, but he found just enough against the Minnesota Twins.

Perez legged out an RBI triple to tie the game on April 6 then scored the eventual game-winning run a batter later on a single by Omar Infante.

“In batting practice, every time he hits the ball in the gap, he says, `Triple! Triple!” Yost said. “I always thought that was a little farfetched.”

“It was a big hit and a huge play and a big part of the game for us.”
