Moreland’s shots lift Rangers to a win over Royals

Mitch Moreland had himself a night.

The first baseman drilled a solo home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give the Texas Rangers a 3–2 walk off win over the Kansas City Royals on July 30.

“We know that Mitch is obviously capable of these types of runs, and boy it has been needed, and he has responded,” manager Jeff Banister said. “With the power, with the at-bats, the pull power and then also the opposite-field power.”
